Comer says he has leads on tracing $10M bribe Joe Biden allegedly accepted

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said he has “leads” on tracing the $10 million bribe that President Joe Biden allegedly received.

The payment is documented on an FBI-generated FD-1023 form, which was released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) in July.

In the document, a confidential FBI informant told the bureau that Mykola Zlochevsky — the head of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company where Hunter Biden sat on the board — had allegedly claimed he had funneled $5 million to Joe Biden when he was vice president and $5 million to Hunter Biden in an alleged exchange for pressuring the Ukrainian government to fire Viktor Shokin, the country’s lead prosecutor who was believed to be investigating Burisma.

“We do have leads. We believe and suspect that there are offshore accounts,” Comer told Hannity when asked if he’d been able to trace the $10 million.

Comer stopped short of elaborating, saying: “That’s something we’ll discuss later.”

The Oversight chairman noted that the idea of offshore accounts being connected to the money mentioned in the FD-1023 form would be “consistent with what we’ve seen in Romania, China, Russia, and Ukraine, where they use various bank accounts and various shell companies.”

“So, it fits a pattern that we’ve seen in other countries,” Comer added.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) also joined Hannity and noted the impact that IRS agents Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler had as whistleblowers when they testified before Congress in July.

“Let me tell you, the information’s coming out. These IRS whistleblowers have done a phenomenal job, and no one, no one has countered what the IRS whistleblowers have said. Their statements have stayed the same,” Smith said. “The Biden administration is the one that continues to sing from a different tune.”
