I’ve mostly been reporting on my friend, triple-amputee vet Airman Brian Kolfage’s campaign to raise funds for a border wall the last few weeks, but now there is massive news coming out of Washington.
Despite migrants attempting to violently breach our border and attacking Border Patrol agents again on New Year’s Day, the Border Patrol stating that they are being overwhelmed, and a California police officer being killed by an illegal immigrant gang member the day after Christmas, Democrats are continuing to refuse President Trump’s request to appropriate funds for a border wall.
Yesterday, after being elected Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi reiterated the Democrat stance: “there will be no wall.” According to The Hill, Pelosi stated:
“We’re not doing a wall. Does anybody have any doubt about that? We are not doing a wall. So that’s that,” she said.
“It has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with: The wall is an immorality between countries. It’s an old way of thinking [and] it isn’t cost-effective.”
Today, President Trump spoke from the Rose Garden and dropped a nuke on loose-teeth Pelosi & Democrats saying that he is considering declaring a national emergency which would allow him to use military funds to build the wall.

FOX News reported:
“President Trump stood firm Friday on his demands for a border wall after the second White House meeting with congressional leaders this week broke up with no apparent deal, warning Democrats the partial government shutdown could last “years” and saying he could even declare a “national emergency” to bypass Congress if necessary.
“We can call a national emergency [to build a border wall] because of the security of our country,” Trump told reporters in the Rose Garden, during a lengthy and impromptu press conference.
“I may do it,” he said, before adding, “If we can do it through a negotiated process, we’re giving it a shot.”
“This is national security we’re talking about, we’re not talking about games,” he told reporters. “We’re not playing games, we have to do it.”
CBS reporter Steven Portnoy Tweeted out a section of the U.S. Code that gives presidents the authority to use military funds in a national emergency. President Trump could use those funds to construct the wall.
This appears to be the section of federal law that would permit the president to use unobligated military construction funds for projects "not otherwise authorized by law" during a war or declared national emergency — https://t.co/yLuFQLpFKy

The US Code Portnoy referred to, 10 USC 2808, reads:
“In the event of a declaration of war or the declaration by the President of a national emergency in accordance with the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) that requires use of the armed forces, the Secretary of Defense, without regard to any other provision of law, may undertake military construction projects, and may authorize the Secretaries of the military departments to undertake military construction projects, not otherwise authorized by law that are necessary to support such use of the armed forces.”
News that Trump might declare a national emergency in order to build the wall didn’t sit well with libs.
CNN’s Ana Navarro lost her mind & Tweeted that Trump is the national emergency.
The worst “national emergency” the United States is facing right now, is Donald Trump. https://t.co/ViwYuFjxu7
— Ana Navarro (@ananavarro) January 4, 2019
Former MSNBC co-host Touré repeated the same talking point as Navarro.
The only national emergency we have right now is that Trump is President.

George Takei, the former Star Trek actor who played Lt. Sulu, wrote that Trump must be resisted with “all our will.”
Trump is considering granting himself “national emergency” powers in order to procure funding for his useless and costly wall. That would be a dangerous and illegal precedent, one that must be opposed with all our will and collective effort.
— George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) January 4, 2019
Takei also mocked triple-amputee vet Airman Brian Kolfage’s wall fundraiser last week when he came out supporting the “Ladders to get over Trump’s wall” GoFundMe.
If libs are this outraged, Trump definitely should declare a national emergency & use the military to build the wall. The Dem celebration over re-taking the House would turn into cries of terror & despondency. That would be worth it in & of itself!
