Things are not looking good for porn star lawyer Michael Avenatti. According to California law, he could be disbarred for what he’s being accused of.

The New York Post is reporting:

“Porn actress Stormy Daniels might ditch attorney Michael Avenatti, saying he hit President Trump with a defamation suit against her wishes.

Daniels told the Daily Beast that Avenatti has not accounted for all of the funds he raised on her behalf and that the lawyer has not treated her with “the respect and deference an attorney should show to a client.”

“For months I’ve asked Michael Avenatti to give me accounting information about the fund my supporters so generously donated to for my safety and legal defense. He has repeatedly ignored those requests,” she said in a statement.

“I haven’t decided yet what to do about legal representation moving forward. Michael has been a great advocate in many ways . . . But in other ways Michael has not treated me with the respect and deference an attorney should show to a client.”

Daniels also said Avenatti has “spoken on my behalf without my approval.”

She added he “filed a defamation case against Donald Trump against my wishes.”

The suit was dismissed by a federal judge and Daniels was ordered to pay Trump’s attorney fees in the case.

While admitting that she doesn’t wish to “hurt” Avenatti, Daniels claims she wanted to set the record straight.

In response, Avenatti provided a statement to The Post that said he has “always been Stormy’s biggest champion” and that the money raised was to help pay her security and legal expenses.

“I have personally sacrificed an enormous amount of money, time and energy toward assisting her because I believe in her,” he said in a statement.

“The retention agreement Stormy signed back in February provided that she would pay me $100.00 and that any and all other monies raised via a legal fund would go toward my legal fees and costs.”

He continued: “Instead, the vast majority of the money raised has gone toward her security expenses and similar other expenses.”

California’s government page says this:

“Filing a lawsuit without authorization violates section 6104, which provides that “[c]orruptly or wilfully and without authority appearing as attorney for a party to an action or proceeding constitutes a cause for disbarment or suspension.”

People on social media are asking if Avenatti will be disbarred for filing a lawsuit against Trump against Stormy Daniels’ wishes.
