We all know Trump isn’t big on the whole Global Warming/Climate Change thing. Reporters probably should’ve known better than to ask him what he thinks about it cuz he hasn’t changed his views.
His response, while predictable, is hilarious.
The Daily Wire reported:
“President Trump’s administration produced a study from 13 federal agencies and more than 300 climate scientists saying that climate change will be catastrophic to the U.S. economy. His response: “I don’t believe it.”
“I don’t believe it,” Trump told reporters on Monday after admitting to having read “some” of the report.
The president’s views on man-made climate change has been rather consistent prior to and throughout his tenure. Eight years ago, he tweeted this: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
Just this last Wednesday, the president tweeted, “Brutal and Extended Cold Blast could shatter ALL RECORDS – Whatever happened to Global Warming?”
According to CNN, the report that President Trump does not believe was released on Black Friday last week when the country was paying absolutely zero attention to politics. It was originally slated to be released next month, but the administration dropped it on Black Friday.
Under President Trump, the United States pulled out of the Paris-Climate agreement, which put America on track to reducing greenhouse gasses by 26% while handing over billions of dollars to the United Nations.
“So we are getting out, but we will start to negotiate and we will see if we can make a deal, and if we can, that’s great. And if we can’t, that’s fine,” said Trump in June 2017. “In order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord, but begin negotiations to re-enter either the Paris accord or really an entirely new transaction on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, and its taxpayers.””
Al Gore is probably going to want an apology from Trump.
