Trump Makes Surprise Announcement After Melania’s Mother’s Tragic Passing

Former President Trump shared with his followers who are expressing their strong support for ex-First Lady Melania Trump, who recently experienced the loss of her mother during the late hours of Tuesday.

Trump uploaded a photograph on Facebook, with himself standing next to Amalija Knavs, who recently passed away at the age of 78 following a prolonged and unknown health struggle.

“This is a very sad night for the entire Trump family!!!” Trump mournfully posted. “Melania’s great and beautiful mother, Amalija, has just gone to a beautiful place in the sky. She was an incredible woman, and will be missed far beyond words!”

On X, Melania Trump characterized her mother as a resolute woman who shown unwavering dedication to her family.

“It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Amalija. Amalija Knavs was a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth, and dignity. She was entirely devoted to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law. We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy,” Melania Trump’s whole statement conveyed.

Amalija and her husband Viktor, both 81 years old, frequently visited the White House during the Trump administration and spent much time with Barron Trump, the sole offspring of Melania and the previous president. Both Amalija and Viktor obtained their citizenship in 2018. Amalija is originally from Austria, while Viktor is from Slovenia. Viktor and Amalija first encountered each other in 1966 while Viktor was employed as a chauffeur for the mayor of Sevnica, while Amalija held the position of a pattern-maker at a children’s clothes factory. They got married one year later.

Melania’s absence off the campaign trail for a few days was due to her mother’s sickness, which Trump revealed to his backers on New Year’s Eve.

Melania, who immigrated here and who obtained her citizenship while employed as a model, has publicly acknowledged her family’s lawful immigration to the United States. She recently delivered the keynote address at a citizenship ceremony in New York, which welcomed scores of new American citizens. Discussing the difficulties her family suffered, she empathized with the audience’s shared hardships and encouraged them to conquer these challenges in order to cultivate inner resilience.

“It is my privilege to share America, this great nation, with you… Obstacles often stand in the way of our goals. We persevere because we understand that conquering them will provide great access to personal development, fulfillment, and even eventually, self-actualization,” stated Melania.

Regarding her childhood in Slovenia, Melania mentioned that her parents ingrained in her a strong work ethic, which motivated her to seek a career in modeling. Additionally, she had the obstacle of navigating the legal requirements for obtaining U.S. citizenship.

“My dream of becoming a citizen pushed me to meticulously gather every last piece of information required, ensuring that no detail was overlooked. While the challenges were numerous, the rewards were well worth the effort. I applaud you for every step you took, every obstacle you overcame, and every sacrifice you made,” she appended.

Last November, NY Magazine featured an article about the seeming absence of Melania from her husband’s busy schedule.

Apparently, during a college football game Trump attended last Saturday, someone paid for a plane to fly a banner around with the words “Where’s Melania.”

Some people chalked it up to a stunt by the Desantis campaign.

And people in the MSM were asking about Melania, so Trump responded.

Trump expressed his anticipation that Melania may join him on the campaign trail in the near future.

“We’ll see her on the trail soon?” Kristen Welker, the host of “Meet the Press,” posed to the former president.

“Yes. Soon? Yeah, pretty soon. When it’s appropriate, but pretty soon,” Trump answered. “She’s a private person, a great person, a very confident person and she loves our country very much.”

“And honestly, I like to keep her away from it. It’s so nasty and so mean,” Trump explained.

The death of Melania’s mother comes at a time when Trump vehemently criticized President Biden and cautioned about the potential chaos that could ensue if his prosecution is let to proceed. This statement was made shortly after his counsel claimed in court that he possesses complete immunity from any legal action stemming from his tenure as president.

Trump criticized the Biden administration, labeling it as a ‘threat to democracy,’ and reiterated his belief in ‘tremendous voter fraud,’ despite several court decisions that have rejected his and his supporters’ allegations.

‘It’s very unfair when a political opponent is prosecuted by the DOJ, by Biden’s DOJ. So they’re losing in every poll, losing in almost every demographic…numbers came out today that are really very mind-boggling if you happen to be Joe Biden,’ Trump remarked from a hotel in the nation’s capital.

‘And I think they feel this is the way they’re going to try and win and that’s not the way it goes. It’ll be bedlam in the country. It’s a very bad thing. It’s a very bad precedent. As we said it’s the opening of a Pandora’s Box,’ Trump stated.
