Can’t make this stuff up! Has-been actress Alyssa Milano mocked triple-amputee vet Brian Kolfage’s effort to raise money for a border wall, and now she’s raising money to free an illegal immigrant detained by ICE. The illegal is an immigrant rights activist who wants other illegals to be allowed to go to top American colleges.
If you’re unfamiliar with Milano’s story, after Airman Kolfage started raising funds for a border wall, he posted this to Twitter:
“$2Million and the mainstream doesn’t even start airing till tomorrow evening! It’s going slow compared to what’s about to happen! KEEP SHARING IT! Encourage everyone to donate. #GoFundTheWall trend it.”

The next day, Milano reacted to Kolfage’s wall fund by stating this on her Twitter account:
“Oh, yes! Let’s #GoFundTheWall while not taking care of our veterans. Cool. Cool. Cool.”

Apparently it was lost on the has-been actress that Airman Kolfage is a veteran, and he is the most severely wounded Airman to survive any war. Kolfage & actor James Woods called Milano out in a brutal takedown shortly after.
Now, Milano, who said Kolfage & others supporting the wall fund aren’t “taking care of veterans,” is raising money to get an illegal immigrant freed from ICE detention (Instead of taking care of our vets).
The Daily Caller reported:
“Actress and activist Alyssa Milano took to Twitter on Sunday to assist with a crowd-funding effort on behalf of an illegal immigrant — just ten days after she scolded Americans in favor of crowd-funding a border wall for “not taking care of our veterans.”
Milano devoted two tweets to Eduardo Samaniego, who is currently being held in an ICE detention center, one of which contained a link to a GoFundMe page raising money for Samaniego’s legal defense.”

Here’s the background on this Samaniego guy. He came here illegally as a minor, then became an immigrant rights activist. He went for a run one day in Georgia, lost his phone, couldn’t find his way home, so he took a cab, but couldn’t pay for it. That’s when he was arrested by police for theft of services and then detained by ICE.
NBC News 11 GA reported (sympathetically):
“Eduardo Samaniego came to the U.S. at 16 as an undocumented immigrant. Now, being unable to come up with a higher-than-expected cab fare could change his life forever.
Just $27.75 put an undocumented immigrant activist in handcuffs. It’s now been 73 days since he’s been free.
Eduardo Samaniego went for a run and lost his phone; so, he took a taxi to get back home. The problem, though, was that he had just moved and he didn’t remember how to get back home.
As the ride racked up a larger bill, Samaniego soon found himself with a fare of nearly $30 – and not enough cash to pay it. That was back in October. It’s now the end of 2018 and he’s still behind bars… his inability to pay a cab fare has led to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) hold. He was then taken to Robert A. Deyton Detention Facility.”

The Daily Hampshire Gazette is reporting that Samaniego’s fellow immigrant activists say that ICE is “torturing” him:
“The Pioneer Valley Workers Center is calling on the public to make phone calls, participate in rallies and sign a petition to aid Eduardo Samaniego, the prominent local activist and undocumented immigrant who is being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a Georgia detention facility.
Describing his situation as “a new level of urgency,” the Workers Center in a Facebook post Sunday afternoon noted that Samaniego’s move to the Irwin County Detention Facility in Ocilla, Georgia, means he is at one of the most oppressive locations in the country, with “numerous human rights abuse cases against it.”
“His health and well-being are severely jeopardized,” the post read. “He is kept in an empty room, not allowed clothing, forced to eat with his hands and has 24-hour observation. This is TORTURE!”
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which has been advocating on Samaniego’s behalf, was denied a visit to see him over the weekend. Sawyer said the Southern Poverty Law Center has a lawsuit against the Irwin facility for not providing those people it is holding access to lawyers.”
The Gazette describes Samaniego’s activism:
“Originally from Mexico, Samaniego came to the Pioneer Valley as a Hampshire College student in 2014. He has organized for immigrant rights locally, as well as on Beacon Hill, in Washington, D.C., and in Georgia, where he helped protest a 2011 law that bars undocumented immigrants from attending the state’s top universities — a policy that prevented Samaniego from attending the University of Georgia in Athens. He immigrated to Georgia at the age of 16.”
OK, so, this illegal who doesn’t like the way the U.S. treats illegals and who wants illegals to be allowed to go to top American colleges, was so dumb he couldn’t find his own home, stiffs a cab driver, gets arrested, and then he’s transferred to ICE where he might be deported. And Alyssa Milano is raising funds to get him free.
My question to Milano is: Why are you taking care of illegals instead of our vets?
Oh, yes! Let’s #GoFundIllegals while not taking care of our veterans. Cool. Cool. Cool. #GoFundTheWall https://t.co/jqQAwY5RTn
